Westchester County New York Real Estate

Living in Scarsdale, New York is living in an high end rural area of New York. The people who live here are mostly upclass professionals who commute to their businesses in Manhattan. Scarsdale real estate is high in cost and very sought after.

In the 1790s, Scarsdale was a small rural town with very little employment options.Potatoes and other vegetables were grown on the ranches in the area. The people coming here were hindered by the lack of employment opportunities in the 1790s. In and around 1891 or 1892, a large parcel of land was acquired and the first of many new homes were built in Scarsdale and soon the population grew to almost 1000 inhabitants causing the little rural town to instantly become popular, with new stores and other commercial projects and societal clubs to start forming into influential aspects that would guide the small town into the 20th century and beyond and in 1915 the town was incorporated as a Village and now the population had grown to over 3000 people. They built about 1000 new homes here. The building boom (so to say) was on in Westchester County   In 1915 it was incorporated as a village.

Since then, many home building booms have taken place along with commercial and commerce growth that has seen the former rural area turn into a hub of business and residential growth and people both living and working here.  Many people come here for the fine lifestyle and great schools.

This is a somewhat white collar community with a higher than average education rate as well as a very much higher than normal income average.  The village is also known for its artists and their contribution to the village’s character.  Another interesting feature is that many people who live here also are working from their homes involving computer type work. Scarsdale has a very educated and diverse make up.

Because of many things, Scarsdale is a very good place for families to consider. The arts and theatre are popular in Scarsdale, New York.

Malibu Real Estate

ranches

To appreciate the diverse demographics and Malibu ca real estate, one must really take a drive through this beautiful area of Los Angeles. Malibu takes in 27 miles of scenic coastline. The City of Malibu, just recently incorporated, lies north of Santa Monica and The Palisades.P.C.H., or Pacific Coast Highway, winds around for 27 miles going north into Ventura County and through their beautiful country sides and beach communities. These canyons have streams and creeks that flow year around down to the Pacific Ocean and most into quiet lagoons along the beach.  Fires and floods have taken their toll in Malibu, dating back to when the Chumash Indians were the primary residents here.

Sales prices as well as rental prices will be high, but the specific price will be determined by the structures age, size, location, and its amenities.

Along the beaches are beautiful homes with 1, 2 and 3 stories, many of them older single family homes built in the 1920s and 30s.  Today many of these older beach homes are being replaced with modern single family homes and condos.  Along the 27 miles of Pacific Coast Highway, are estates, and larger single family homes, many sitting on multiple acreage lots with lush landscaping of natural brush, trees, and many with meandering brooks and creeks coming out of the mountains above.  Even with all of the tourists who visit Malibu, there are very few motels, hotels or resorts to speak of.

Condominiums and upper end townhomes have become quite popular in Malibu in recent years.  There is a great selection of modern and gated condo complexes in Malibu and near by communities to check out if a condo is what you are looking for in this great sun filled town.  The prices of all homes, condos and town homes in Malibu are going to be in the upper end category, with age, size, amenities and location the determining factors in prices, and the same is true for rental fees.

El Cajon Homes

In the past few years, El Cajon’s population has grown to 95,000, due to affordable El Cajon homes and the convenient location. Many that have moved here enjoy the warmer climate compared to the mildler climate of the beach cities.

You will find both older and new single family housing, condos, and townhouses, and apartments all at very affordable prices. A typical El Cajon neighborhood is nicely set with well established housing and streets that are well taken care of. Swimming pools are popular here because of the nice weather all year.

El Cajon has Sycuan Casino and Resort plus it is very close to all of the tourist attractions of the area. The climate makes it possible to enjoy out-door events all year such as Golf, hiking and house-back-riding.
All this is a far cry for the Original use of this part of San Diego which was cattle grazing and agricultural endeavors. The pioneers were correct, this was a great place for cattle ranches. After years of cattle ranching, lemon groves were planted in a new area called LA Mesa Springs, which later became La Mesa . Another town close is Lakeside which boasts The Barona Valley Ranch, which is another opportunity for adult fun and excitement. The Barona Valley Resort has all expected out of a high end destination-resort. The mountain community of Alpine is a few minutes down the road. Past Alpine is the cutoff for the Viejas Casino and the Viejas Outlet mall.

So whatever your individual interests are and whatever taste and style you and your loved ones have, you will be able to find just what you want in the real estate market here in the El Cajon area of East San Diego County.
